In the U.S, there has never been a more crucial time to exercise the right to choose, by voting in this upcoming consequential election. The options may not be perfect for many, but the line is clear. What will you choose?
The Responsibility of Choice
Here at thecreativerse, we respect the fundamental power of choice and we are major advocates for protecting and safeguarding the right to choose for all humans. We’re also big proponents of ensuring that every time we are presented with an opportunity to choose, we do so, based on what best aligns within us. Not what others expect from us, but what we know, inside, to be true and real for us.
In the U.S, we are facing one of the most consequential elections we’ve ever had in a long time. Two major choices are clearly on the ballot, essentially representing the split in our collective perspective. One side is embracing a world afraid of change, of those who are different and wants to continue to perpetuate worldviews of privilege, control and power we’re quickly outgrowing. The other side, sees the opposite, embracing a world of change and unity of effort, where progress and opportunity is fueled by diversity, collaboration, innovation, and freedom of choice.
Big Consequences – Choose Wisely
As such, this moment and this election, is a major turning point in our collective story, as we’ve written so often about here. This is not a drill. What we choose in this election, will have far-reaching consequences for our collective and the world, and will impact our lives and those of future generations for years to come.
As Americans head to the ballot box to choose representatives, it’s a good time to reflect on what type of world we want to create for ourselves and others. And to be crystal clear on the consequences of choosing fear over humanity and over progress. Fear has a cost – as we talk about in more detail here.
If we choose the side of fear of change and resentment of the other, we choose a world we’re quickly outgrowing. A world of division and separatedness, which gives power to some but not all. A world where unchecked absolute power at the top is the desired status quo and uncompromising control and dominion over identity, liberty and choice is the endgame. If we choose the side of progress and opportunity, we choose a world of forward movement. We choose creativity over fear, potential over apathy, freedom over control. This side specifically, has the potential to lead us into a renaissance era fueled by innovation, diversity and heart, which has limitless potential to transform our world for the better.
As always, it is our choice to make. May we step beyond fear and move forward, towards the highest path possible, that offers the greatest opportunity and growth for all. We all deserve better. It’s time to choose it and then keep ourselves and the leaders/representatives we’ve chosen accountable, for the promises given. Remember, we can’t all truly prosper if we are not ALL given the opportunity to prosper …
Here’s to the higher path, the path of humanity and progress I know we’re capable of choosing. ~ Love, Carmen
